Adam Blake is the instructor of Swanwick Taekwon-Do School Which opened in October 2014.
Adam started training at the age of 10 in September 2000. At 12 he was assisting Mrs Bradshaw with teaching and went on to gain his Assistant Instructors qualification at the age of 14, the same time as getting his Black Belt. At 16 Adam was awarded his 2nd Degree whilst also assisting at another local school.
Adam stayed with PUMA when Heart of England ITF became its own association, but in October 2016, he decided to re-join Heart of England, back to Adam’s roots and where it all started.
Adam has never been a fan of competing himself, he would rather watch others succeed, but recently with a vote of confidence from Master Bradshaw, Adam has begun competing and is hoping to enter more competitions in the future.
Outside of Taekwon-Do, Adam is an Assistant Head teacher at a secondary school in Derby. His subject specialism is Maths. Apart from seeming to teach all the time, Adam’s other love is Rugby, where he supports his home club of Leicester Tigers, and of course England.
